Curious about how the Shasta County housing market is shaping up this summer? According to the latest stats from the California Association of Realtors, home sales have increased by 6.4% (501 sales) compared to May 2023. While the median sales price has dipped slightly by 1.2% to $395,000, active listings have risen by 9.4%, totaling 193. In Redding, the average home was on the market for 21 days, with 32.9% of active listings experiencing a price reduction.
So what does this mean for those looking to enter the market? For buyers, this means more options and potential price reductions to take advantage of. For sellers, the increase in sales activity is promising, but pricing competitively is key in a market with rising inventory. Check in next month for additional updates!
